Free Conrad!

You know it is not as if Conrad Black is the first guy to get confused about corporate governance.  So I was never much a fan of his imprisonment, which now seems to be ending!  Yay!
The greatest and most amusing irony in some ways is that CBC Newsworld has decided to become the all-Conrad network today.

Where will he live? He has no country! Ah! well... Bet you, we'll take him back. I hope so. We're not very vindictive. He's only a poor mixed-up Canadian boy who went ashtray. It would have been a complicated issue for anyone. I'm sure he's going to be OK now.

I think he and Barbara have US passports and a nice Florida mansion. I think he has done far less damage than Omar Khadr, and to be honest, I would love him as a dinner guest, and would not love Omar. Silly country.

There's a lot of jealousy and envy in that story. We welcome the Queen with fervent enthusiasm. And we kick out of the country someone to whom she gives a honourary title. It doesn't make sense. I know there are rules for citizenship. And Conrad agreed to give it up. But it still doesn't make sense to me! I wish him all the best.
