What is Not Seen

The problem with so many economic arguments is an old point - one raised by the brilliant Frederic Bastiat - What is Seen and not.

Russell Roberts pre-empts my reading of this weekend's NY Times Magazine cover article.

I am not quite prepared to sign up for his:
I am proud not to be a progressive.
But I believe he is fundamentally right and would say instead:
I am proud not to be a mindless progressive.
I continue to hope there is a difference.
